We are seeking a Shipping Operator for a position in Donora, PA.Hours are 7 : 30 AM - 4 : 00 PM, Monday - Friday.Job Duties : *Load and unload palletized products from tractor-trailers using forklifts.
- Prepare, present and / or approve bills of lading and shipping documents.*Perform visual quality checks of materials prior to loading or unloading trucks.
Report quality variances to the proper channels.*Organize and secure raw materials and packaging materials in a safe manner.
- Shrink wrap pallets to prepare them for shipping.*Weigh products and / or loads and record weight.*Consult and coordinate with manager, employees, and other departments regarding loading and unloading operations.
- Inspect and report any faulty equipment, damage to racks or product, or other potential safety hazards.*Maintain equipment by cleaning, recharging, refueling, etc.
Expectations for this role include : *Proficient basic math skills.*Prior forklift experience.*Valid Driver"s License (CDL Class A preferred or willingness and ability to secure Class A CDL within 3 months).
